Filmmakers, actors, industry representatives, and film enthusiasts will come together for an immersive red-carpet event featuring a media wall, lighting display, and exclusive behind-the-scenes exhibits. Guests will enjoy screenings of two internationally recognised Australian films by Hollywood Writer/Director, Danial Donai — showcasing Deep Red Water, Grand Jury Award Winner for Best Short Film at the 2024 New York International Film Awards, and The Night Flyers, Winner of Best Horror Film at the 2025 NYIFA. The evening will also include a live Q&A session and a range of fundraising activities, including a silent auction and raffles to win some amazing prizes.

​The event will raise funds for the forthcoming cinematic project John the Revelator, inspired by the unsolved 1819 Rail Motor train robbery—unique to Kuranda, a mystery deeply rooted in Far North Queensland folklore.

The Night Flyers follows a documentary crew venturing deep into remote Indigenous sites to uncover a forgotten legend, only to awaken an ancient force that has guarded the land for centuries.

As night falls, the team finds themselves hunted by supernatural entities tied to the region’s oldest stories, trapped between cultural truths they don’t fully understand and a terror far beyond anything they could have imagined.
